It’s confusion galore in Nigeria today. First, Ex-Pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina, who was declared wanted by the EFCC for absconding with over 2 billion naira was in a strange turn of events re-instated into the civil service and promoted. When news broke of his reinstatement yesterday, Buhari’s Special Assistant on Prosecution, Okoi Obono-Obla, defended the action, only for Buhari to order the immediate sack of Maina as well as an investigation into his recall.

But Twitter Nigeria is not quite ready to hail Buhari’s anti-corruption fight. Apparently, there are other individuals with corruption dog tags on them who have been absorbed by this administration.
