Ever since Suzelle recently moved into her new studio, she’s been coming up with even more creative yet doable DIY projects. Seriously. Just when we think we’ve seen it all from this local DIY star, she amazes and surprises us all over again!
This week Suzelle’s video is about something a lot of us have probably wanted to do at some stage of our (grown-up) life – give a sofa a makeover. Whether you’re tired of that fabric you chose when you thought you’d never grow tired of an all-purple living room, or whether you bought a second-hand bargain that needs some TLC, Suzelle’s tips are sure to help you transform your sofa from drab to fab. The best part? No reupholstering costs or skills required!
‘I have a new studio and I’m so excited! Maybe you also want to give your space a little sprucing up. Maybe you are sick of your couch and you want to re-cover it, but you can’t because it’s so expensive and you’re not an upholsterer,’ she says about her latest project.
So here’s what you’ll need to try this at home:
- PVA paint in any colour
- A container for mixing
- A spray bottle filled with water
- Drop sheets
- Fine-grit sandpaper
- Paintbrushes
- Painter’s tape
