The Nation’s National Union of Journalist (NUJ) will on Thursday launch its sport equipment and ‘Keep Fit Walk’.
Some of the indoor games equipment are; water proof tennis board, scrabble, draught, chess board, ludo and ayoo.
Other items to be launched include football, jersey and first aid equipment.
Some of the exhibition matches for the ceremony will see the Daily Editor; Gbenga Omotoso display his ping-pong skills against Assistant Editor, Ogochukwu Ikeje.
While, Chairman Editorial Board, Sam Omatseye has been seeded with Rafiu Lawal; Finance and Account also in table-tennis.
The Managing Director, Victor Efijeh will declare the ceremony open.
According to the NUJ chairman, Musa Odoshimokhe, the program will start as from 2pm.
“We pray to have a clement weather as we intend to make the occasion worthwhile.
We have fixtures for all senior, middle and junior staff,” he added even as he urged members to take advantage of the equipment provided to beef up their fitness.
Some members, who bared their minds on the equipment available, expressed hope that it will ginger the company’s representatives to greater heights especially during the NUJ Games and other meets in future.
