PARIS — Firmenich has named Jerry Vittoria as head of fine fragrances worldwide. The executive succeeds Oliver de Lisle, who is retiring immediately, in the role. Vittoria, who most recently served as president, fine fragrance, North America at Firmenich, has been working closely with de Lisle, according to the Swiss fragrance and flavors supplier in a statement on Wednesday. “Jerry Vittoria brings extensive industry experience and a broad international outlook to his new role,” the company stated. He began his job overseeing fine fragrances in North America in 2010, having moved to the U.S. in 2001 to take up a position with the company there. Prior to that, Vittoria was general manager for fragrances in the U.K., after having joined Firmenich as an account director in London in 1990. The executive chairs the board of the North American Fragrance Foundation and the industry advisory board of the FIT Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management Master’s Program. Vittoria serves, as well, as an associate board member of the Personal Care Products Council.
