Romelu was pictured arriving Everton training ground on Wednesday, March 15 in his expensive car.
The 23-year-old returned to training ahead of Everton’s Premier League clash at home to Hull City on Saturday, March 18.
He had informed Everton of his decision not to sign a new contract which would have seen him earn in the region of £130,000 per week, the highest ever for an Everton player.
According to Lukaku, he rejected the contract because Everton do not match his ambition of playing in the Champions League and competing for the Premier League title.
The Belgium international wants to be one of the best players in the world believes he has to leave Everton to achieve that.
"Everton as a football club has a great history. But the future has to be written. You get me? Because we always talk about the teams of the 80s and 70s and if you look it was great,” Lukaku said.
“But we as players we want the fans talking about us instead of us talking about them.
"Instead of living in the past, you have to think ahead.
"How this club has to grow, how this club has to improve, which player does it want to bring in so you can challenge for the big trophies.
"Then like sometimes I will speak to Vincent Kompany who was at (Manchester) City when it all happened.
"He said, 'Rom, one summer I just came in and boom, boom, boom, boom... Robinho from there, that guy came in, this guy came in, this guy came in.
"They had league titles, FA Cup, League Cups. That is what we want as players."
Lukaku has scored 19 Premier League goals this season.
