JALINGO – The Taraba state local government election Saturday witnessed large turn out of electorates at various polling stations as monitored by Vanguard Newspaper while at 12:30 election materials were yet to arrive the pooling units.
Vanguard’s check in Jalingo the state capital it was discovered that polling units were crowed and voters were seen waiting for ballot papers.
From Jalingo to Gasol, and Wukari Local Government areas Vanguard discovered that election materials were yet to arrive polling units,
Thousands of voters, who were found at Wukari police station waiting, express fears that the delay in arrival of the sensitive materials at various polling units of the local government area was a deliberate attempt to rig the election.
Wukari is the home town of Sen. Danlami Ikenya who just decamped from Peoples Democratic Party PDP to All Progressive Congress APC.
