Considering an autopsy report, the Police arrested Davido Wednesday, having discovered that the singer was complicit in the death of Tagbo Umeike.
The autopsy report said Tagbo died of suffocation, not intoxication as earlier believed.
Davido, during the investigation, reportedly told the investigative team at Lion Building division, Lagos Island, that he was not at Shisha bar, from where the deceased was rushed and dumped at the Lagos Island General.
Davido, in his statement, also said that he had left the bar, for DNA nightclub in Victoria Island, from where he was informed about Umeke’s death.
But when briefing journalists on the update of the investigation, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police command, Imohimi Edgal, disclosed that preliminary investigation showed that late Umeke was rushed to the hospital on David’s instruction.
