Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, is certainly not the most popular politician in Nigeria, especially since he pulled what could be described as one of the biggest stunts of the year — erecting a statue of South Africa President Jacob Zuma in his state’s capital, Owerri.
Nigerians ranted and insulted, Okorocha spat back, particularly at popular Twitter influence Japheth Omujuwa, calling him “stupid” — although he later denied it, despite the evidence (he probably didn’t know Twitter never forgets).

When it seemed people were finally getting over it, the governor, unrepentant as ever, went on another boastful rant, declaring that he would “erect as many of such structures as possible,” adding that he owes “no one apology.”
