Taking inspiration from Taylor Swift’s new song, Bachelor in Paradise star Amanda Stanton got some revenge of her own after Robby Hayes posted a vicious social media attack against her character.
On Monday’s season finale, Stanton and ex Robby Hayes remained seemingly civil as they discussed their split and both agreed that they had different expectations when it came to relationships. The true causes behind their split quickly became clear however when twins Emily and Haley Ferguson accused Robby of cheating. He defended himself against the rumors by claiming, “That is false.” Amanda responded by saying, “If you’re saying you didn’t, I believe you. You were there. Not me. But it did look like it.”
Despite the seemingly civil public appearance, their relationship turned nasty when Hayes took to Twitter to share his true feelings over the split. He first retweeted a comment stating, “Never trust a woman who leaves her kids to find a man” then proceeded to post a lengthy memo directly attacking Stanton. “I’ll never understand why there’s such a desperate need to represent an ‘innocent persona’ and resort to allowing allegations that are blatantly untrue be said about me by ‘the twins’ while one sits back and ‘unknowingly’ watches these malicious attacks continue against me.”
He continued, “History is repeatedly showing that some people thrive off of using the media and their ‘army’ to manipulate viewers to place one-sided blame, constantly play the ‘victim’ and use their friends to try and assassinate one’s character. Your story-line is getting OLD; at some point it’s just on YOU to stop living a double-life, and at this point, everyone sees through it. God bless.”
Stanton clearly did not take the attack well and responded with the simple caption “Look what you made me do” with the photo of Robby and the blonde female getting quite close. Stanton also admitted she hadn’t planned on sharing the photo until Robby brought her daughters into the argument and then he had gone too far.
“Very confused how I tried to be a victim/attacked him during the finale,” she tweeted. “Totally let him get away with it until he brought my kids into it.”
“We live and we learn though, right?!” Stanton tweeted. “Let’s do better.”
