All women want to hear those three words: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. With huge mark-downs on the newest fashion trends and brands, this yearly sale has become iconic — it’s every fashion blogger’s source of inspiration and every bargain shopper’s dream come true.
Naturally, our team can’t help but be a part of this excitement (no surprise). There’s just something about purchasing that flattering bodysuit we’ve had an eye on for months for half the price that gets our hearts racing. Read further to see what some of our snags were for this sale and for a glimpse of us outside the office. But hurry, the sale ends August 6th!
You know that scene in Devil Wears Prada when Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) gets to wear the oh-so-high Chanel OTK boots? Well these maybe kinda sorta made me feel that way. Like a million bucks! Only they’re $86. And they’re not leather, they’re a stretchy sueded fabric and really comfortable. Will be pairing every dress and skirt I have with these from October through April! Fits true to size and super easy to get on and off due to the small zipper at the heel. (Bonus: they also look great with black leggings!)
Absolutely lovely… I feel like a butterfly. This bell sleeve sweater comes in gray and sand and keeps popping back in stock so keep checking back if you want it! I’m wearing a medium. Fits true to size!
This faux leather jacket elevates any outfit and is arguably my favorite purchase from the #Nsale. Why you ask? The $64 price tag! But don’t be fooled — it doesn’t look or feel cheap. Like at all.
I want this back-zip sweater in every color. I am wearing a medium and it’s super slouchy and perfect and comfy and everything I want in a sweater. This will get a ton of use in years to come… it was also a hot ticket item that sold out fast, but a lot of returns are coming in so while it might be sold out in your size temporarily, it keeps coming back! I was able to scoop up a medium in grey just last night!
It’s official. I’m a mule addict. Finally added this suede taupe-y beauty to the mix. I’ve never met a mule I didn’t like — and they’re SO easy and stylish (also available in more colors). Pair with black jeans and a breezy top and voila, done.
I can tell this is the kind of sweater I will literally live in all fall and winter, so while it’s already affordable, the cost for wear will be EXTREMELY low. I love the color and it’s seriously one of the softest things my skin has ever touched. I picked it up in a large for extra slouch.
I’m a t-shirt and jeans girl through and through, which makes the bodysuit trend my new favorite thing. It’s just as easy as my usual uniform, but way more put together. This top is perfect for ladies night out (I love the choker detail), and incredibly comfortable. I’m wearing a medium!
The second I put this on, I instantly knew I was going to be wearing it on repeat this fall. Being a D cup, I usually have to size up in shirts that button up the front, but thanks to the stretch in the material I was able to stay with a medium. It’s a smidge sheer but with a nude bra, you’re safe.
BEYOND YOGA HIGH WAISTED MESH LEGGINGS
Here’s the series of really awkward and weird poses I do in order to show you the details on the leggings I purchased. I don’t know why it looks like I’m trying to compete in a body builder competition (sans muscles) but that’s what happened. I’ve heard amazing things about Beyond Yoga leggings and these did not disappoint — the high waist makes you feel secure and comfortable. I wear a medium so these fit true to size.
“HATHA” HIGH WAIST CROP LEGGINGS
LAST ONE I SWEAR. What is this pose? Who knows. These feel like Lululemon at a Target price. Done. I’m contemplating ordering another pair for my workout rotation. The pink and gray are also super cute.
I would like to live every day of my life in these pjs. And then please bury me in them because they are so so light and comfy. I really wanted the shorts but they were sold out when I ordered. If they come back in stock, I’ll be buying them IMMEDIATELY.
It’s not the cutest purchase, but I bought this fleece for lounging and Netflix. To be paired with leggings and no bra, naturally. IT IS SO COMFORTABLE AND SOFT (which seems to be a theme with my purchases). This is the medium (which is sized like a men’s medium) so it’s loose, but I ordered a large after trying this on for extra lounge.
COLD SHOULDER FIT & FLARE DRESS
The material on this dress feels expensive and it’s super flattering. Dear friends, expect me to be wearing this to all your fall weddings. I typically wear a six in dresses and this fit perfectly.
I’m not a huge fan of dressy flats, but the pointed toe and ankle wrap make these sophisticated and chic. They also come in three other colors and fit true to size.
This jacket is PERFECTION. Give me a good jacket, any day. The suede feels luxurious and quality and the fit is just right over some high-waisted jeans. Plus, it’s this truly excellent burnt caramel color. Basically, this is what dreams are made of
.
I’m wearing a small, which is perfect over thin long sleeves. If you’re looking to wear it over chunky sweaters, size up.
The color is currently sold out (but will most likely return) – if you can’t wait, this is a close and affordable dupe.
This shirt has slightly puffy shoulders and super long cuffs and makes me feel like early-era Michael Jackson (this is a good thing, obviously). The material is not super-smooth, but it’s a good staple-with-an-edge.
I’m wearing a large for the slouchy fit.
This jacket is all my varsity dreams come true. Nothing says fall like a letterman jacket (pumpkin spice, eat your heart out). This jacket is super cozy and makes me want to go to a high school football game. Go sports!
I’m wearing a medium — it basically runs TTS.
Look how ginormous this Nike swoosh is, I am obsessed. This sweater is cropped and SUPER FREAKIN’ COZY. It will be perfect over high-waisted leggings when I’m “working out” (i.e., walking to get a donut).
I’m wearing a medium — it’s perfectly TTS.
