Super Eagles’ duo of Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) and Chelsea’s Victor Moses
are to return late to camp of the senior national team 2019 AFCON
qualifying tie with Bafana Bafana of South Africa scheduled for France
and which opens on May 27 same day both stars will be involved in the
English FA Cup final with their clubs.
The Media Officer of the Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye revealed that both
players have received the blessings of the Nigeria’s senior national
team handler, Gernot Rohr to report to camp late because of their
clubs quest to lift the iconic English FA Cup.
He confirmed that it is the wishes of the Eagles coaches to camp the
players for few days before the June 9 AFCON qualifier with South
Africa in Uyo and that Rohr is also nursing the ambition of naming
some domestic league players in the list of players that are expected
to prosecute the tie.

Plateau United have confirmed the acquisition of home based Super
Eagles’ star, Bature Yaro and three other players to beef up their
squad ahead of the second round of hostilities which begins next
month.
The Peace Boys are the halfway champions of the NPFL after they hit
the premier league by the storm from the beginning of the season till
date and they have added Myep Bulus, Odafe Emmanuel and Hamzat Jamiu
Owolabi who last played for Heartland last season to ensure that they
are ready for the rigour of elite division tasks.
The General Manager of the club, Pius Henwan told SportingLife that
plans are underway to add two more players to the list of the four
that have been cleared as they strive to keep their stronghold on the
top of the league table when the second round kicks off.
They are first on the log with 35 points from 18 games despite having
a match at hand against Enugu Rangers on May 3.
