The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that KWESE Sports also known as “Econet Media’’ are the new sponsors of the league being organised by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
KWESE will sponsor the league for five years.
In the game played at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Gombe Bulls took control of the match from the onset and won the first quarter 23-15.

“We will now go back and work hard to win our next match against Civil Defenders. We will now work hard to come out victorious at the end of the league,’’ he said.
On his part, Adeaka Daodu, the coach of Mark Mentors, said his players did not live up to expectations.
“It was a serious game, but unfortunately we lost. The shots were not really coming, and we chased our opponents in the first quarter.
“We were able to bounce back in the second quarter of the game and we made it 50-50 in the third quarter.
“Gombe Bulls have a set of young and strong players in their team. We are now going to work on our mistakes. In our next match with Bauchi Nets our performance will be better,” he said.
