This is the kind of vibe we want to see more often from schools.
The Federal University in Wukari, Taraba State, has automatically employed all 16 First-Class graduates of the school.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Abubakar Kundiri made this known at the school's maiden convocation ceremony on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Should they choose to accept the employment offer, they'd also be trained up to their third level degrees.
The VC said the aim of this was to encourage other students to work hard to attain this level of awesomeness.
The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Abubakar Abdulrasheed, thinks this is a great idea. His commendation of this decision is proof.
The best graduating student aka Valedictorian, David Adashu, spoke on behalf of his colleagues and pledged to represent the school in a good light. He also urged his fellow graduands to remain calm in face of difficulties and give back to their communities.
