Robert Geller’s Immigrant T-Shirt Offered for Sale


Many people wear their hearts on their sleeves. Robert Geller wears his political leanings on his chest. During his bow following his fall show, which was inspired by political unrest and protest, the designer wore a gray T-shirt with “Immigrant” hand-painted in pink letters by his wife Ana Beatriz Lerario-Geller the morning before the show. The German-born Lerario-Geller found the shirt quickly attracted a following so he has teamed with Grailed.com to create a limited edition of the Ts. Priced at $50, the shirts for men and women launched on the web site exclusively today with proceeds benefiting the ACLU and matched by Grailed.com. Last week, Public School started selling the red ball caps sporting the Make America New York slogan that were worn in its fall fashion show on its web site and temporary store in TriBeCa. The proceeds from the sale of the hats is also being donated to the ACLU. “I saw a chance to use my platform to send a message about unity, love and inclusion. The response has been incredible and I am thankful to have the opportunity to raise some money for the ACLU, an organization that is as important as ever during these times,” Geller said.
