Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has struck terms with Barcelona over a world record deal for Neymar.
That’s the claim from Tuttosport, which says he Russian has already reached a verbal agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of the Brazilian. The value of the transfer would obliterate current records; Chelsea would pay €180 million for the 25 year old.
But manager Antonio Conte could block the deal. The Italian wants to trim his squad before incorporating new players.
Neymar has a buy-out clause in his contract that increases year-on-year, valued at €200m in 2016 and €222m in 2017. It will continue to increase to €250m between 2018 and 2021.
