Swedish coach Lars Lagerback has slammed Luis Suarez over his role in Barcelona’s shock victory over PSG.
Barca were given a helping hand along the way by Suarez, who went down in the box very easily when challenging for the ball with Marquinhos to earn a late penalty, much to the chagrin of Lagerback.
“It is nonsense that everything is decided by a dive,” said the Swede. “I feel sad and sorry for the world of football.
“I’m so angry. It is a piece of pure Suarez theatre. Why do we have officials beside the goal if they can’t see these things?”
The 68-year-old was in charge of his country for nine years between 2000 and 2009 and was also in charge of Iceland for their dream run to the Euro 2016 quarter-final in France.
