The First Lady made the call in the 2017 International Women’s Day at Ndiowu Community in Orumba North Local Government Area on Wednesday.
The Wife of the Anambra governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, has called on the women to “Be Bold for Positive Change.’’
Ebelechukwu made the call in the 2017 International Women’s Day at Ndiowu Community in Orumba North Local Government Area on Wednesday.
She said that women were the vanguard of the innovative reforms taking place under the administration of her husband, Gov. Willie Obiano.
“I urge you all to be bold for positive change in your family; be bold for positive change by contributing to the innovative reforms taking place in Anambra,’’ she said.
She said that the United Nation’s call for a more gender inclusive society was timely and requires women, men and the youths to contribute their quota in the development of the family, community and the state.

She observed that the place of the women in the scheme of things was assured because the state ranks among the most gender-sensitive in the country.
The governor’s wife advised the women to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the state government to form and participate in the cooperative societies to access micro-credit loans.
