The concert series kicked off with Nomadic Orchestra, who performed live on Sunday 26 February. From the get-go this band had the audience out of their seats, dancing to their unique and eclectic mixed-genre tunes. The Blues Broers were next on Sunday 5 March and they also truly wowed the audience. They will be followed by Valiant Swart and Akkedis on 12 March, and Taxi Violence on 19 March.
Guests are invited to come and enjoy a Sunday afternoon relaxing on the lawns with a glass of wine in hand, and to take in some truly exceptional South African music. Tickets are R120 from Webtickets and R150 at the gate. Discounted tickets may be bought directly from the farm (not on the day of the concert) at a cost of R100 per person, and this same price is applicable to guests dining at the farm’s restaurant on the day of the show.
Students pay R60 and children under the age of 12 get in free. Delicious bites, snack boxes, an array of beverages and Backsberg’s superb range of wines will be available for purchase on the day. However, it is advised to preorder your snack boxes at restaurant@backsberg.co.za to avoid disappointment. Each snack box contains an assortment of breads, cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, preserves, pâtés and Backsberg’s renowned chocolate brownies, all for only R220. Please note that you can’t bring your own alcohol.
With entertainment for both children and adults alike, Backsberg’s concerts will continue to rock throughout March. Be sure to buy your tickets early to avoid missing out on an unforgettable music experience.
