A friend of the killer Airforce officer who murdered his colleague and lover in cold blood for cheating on him says he planned the murder over time.
A close friend of the killer Airforce officer, Lt. BA Kalu who killed his colleague and lover, Oladipupo Solape, has revealed that he (Kalu) had planned murder carefully for days before he carried out the dastardly act.
The friend who is also an officer, said Lt. Kalu who is an Aircraftman, was angry that Solape who was also known as Shomzy, had been cheating on him with a Youth Corps member and that got the murderer quite angry and he had been heard telling his friends he would deal with her.

To exact his deadly vengeance, Lt. Kalu gunned down his lover in the early hours of Saturday, March 11, 2017, at their quarters in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Tactical Air Command in Makurdi.
It was gathered that the jealous Lt. Kalu and his deceased girlfriend were course mates at the Air Force training camp and that both began their career in January this year.
The lovebirds were described as being so much in love that they were the envy of many who saw their relationship as a reference point, not knowing he had something sinister up his sleeves.
Kalu was said to have obtained the rifle he used against Solape from his unit at NAF base after the 5 am emergency wake-up parade which allowed soldiers on duty to sign for a rifle for the day.
The friend revealed further:
“The Corps member boyfriend had spent the night with the Aircraftwoman Solape before and Kalu caught them in her apartment.
The lady begged him for forgiveness and promised such would not happen again. But it seemed Kalu was still bitter over the matter because the way he went about his action proves that it was predetermined.
He obtained his rifle the day before the murder at about 5 am when troops gathered at the appropriate spot to take instruction from their superiors and to proceed to sign for their rifles for the day.
Kalu, after obtaining his rifle, moved straight to the lady’s house and shot her in the neck.”
The friend added that Kalu had earlier made attempt on the life of the Corps member who struggled with him until the bullet hooked as he tried to pull the trigger, making it possible for the corps member to escape.
Apart from leaving a suicide note behind before embarking on his act, Kalu had, on the eve of the tragedy, hinted on his Facebook wall that Saturday night would be his last moment at the base because he was going to do something that would shock the world.
In the note, he had written:
“It is a prestige for me writing this because it would be read by most top men. It is a love story of a guy falling in love with a wrong witch who pretended to be good.”

He had allegedly shot himself after killing Solape but survive and is now in detention after he was arrested and would be court-martialed, dismissed and handed over to police for civil legal action.
