Unilever’s Laurent Kleitman has been tapped to take over Coty Inc.’s Consumer Beauty division as current president Esi Eggleston Bracey steps down. Kleitman is currently executive vice president of global hair care at Unilever, and will report directly to Coty chief executive officer Camillo Pane in the new role. He has held the Unilever hair-care role since 2015, following his time as ceo of Unilever Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Before that, he spent three years heading LVMH in Russia, including the perfumes and cosmetics business, where he jump-started growth after the 2008 financial crisis. Kleitman started his career at Unilever in marketing. He starts at Coty on May 15, and will be based in the company’s New York Consumer Beauty headquarters. Bracey is stepping down for personal reasons, according to a company statement, and will remain with the company through the end of March.
