Just to clear any doubts, a 52 year old female Buddhist master from Jiangxi Province is currently taking care of some 30 baby girls that were reportedly abandoned by their parents.
Changmiao says she always taught children to be self-reliant and learn skills to help them in society.
Shi Changmiao, who says she became a nun at the age of 15, has been adopting and taking care of abandoned babies for over 30 years.
Some of the girls have gone up to university
“In more than 30 years, I have adopted over 30 baby girls. Some of them were abandoned by their parents because they are disabled and sick,” says Changmiao.
