In an embarrassing tweet, BET tweets the wrong picture of Olamide on his birthday.
Today, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 is the birthday of Nigerian rapper Olamide.
The YBNL Baddo has received a ton of greetings from everyone today. American entertainment channel BET also decided to send their warm greetings to the top Nigerian rapper. The only problem was that their birthday shout out was totally wrong.
BET tweeted a birthday message to Olamide but the accompanying photo was not Olamide. It was a black man playing a guitar on stage. How embarassing.
As expected the YBNL nation trolled BET for the humiliating mistake. Nigerians blasted them for not knowing who Olamide is. You can see some of the tweets below;
When the gaffe started to trend on Twitter, BET quickly deleted it. Hey, these things happen. It hadn't at the Oscars when 'La La Land' was mistakenly announced as the 'Best Picture' instead of 'Moonlight'.
BET should just blame Steve Harvey for the mix up.
