Gabriel Afolayan is an actor and musician who became a popular face in Nollywood after appearing in Tade Ogidan’s ‘Madam Dearest’.
1 He was born on March 1st to the family of Music Icon, Adeyemi Afoloyan (Ade Love) in Agbamu, Kwara State.
2 He studied Theater Arts at The University of Ibadan.
3 Gabriel Afolayan made his acting debut in the movie ‘Opawon’ by Baba Sala.
4 He is also the younger brother of respected actor cum filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan while his other siblings, Moji Afolayan and Aremu Afolayan are well known faces in the industry.
5 The actor started his singing career in 1997 as a backup singer at Phynix studio in Ibadan, going by the stage name G-Fresh. He released his debut single, ‘Kokoro Ife’ which garnered him general acclaim and then he dropped his follow up single, ‘Awelewa’ .
6 Gabriel Afolayan is the newest brand ambassador for Airtel network.
7 In 2012, he won the Best Supporting Actor award for playing “Tavier Jambari” in Hoodrush.
