Ndidi who has six caps for the Super Eagles insists that he and his international teammates are not scared of Cameroon.
Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has insisted that the Super Eagles are not scared of any team, including reigning African champions, Cameroon.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Cameroon- who won the just concluded 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)- in a doubleheader later in the year for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Since winning the AFCON 2017, Cameroon are now favourites ahead of the double header against the Super Eagles in August and September 2017.
Ndidi who has six caps for the Super Eagles has however insisted that he and his international teammates are not scared of any team.
“The Super Eagles are not worried about any team. We'll do our best and the best team will win,” the 20-year-old told Brilla FM in an interview.
“Cameroon are Champions of Africa and I congratulate them really, but, I don't think that bothers anybody.”
Ndidi joined Leicester City in a £15m January move from Belgian side Genk.
The midfielder already has a goal for his new side and says he is trying to adapt to life in England.
“I'm trying to adapt to the life here in England. It's a lot different from my experience in Belgium,” Ndidi added.
“I don't want to feel too comfortable with what I have done so far with Leicester City. I want to keep improving.”

Five consecutive losses in the Premier League have thrown Leicester City in relegation battles, but Ndidi revealed that the players are working hard to turn results around.
“There's no pressure on Leicester City despite our situation in the League. We're working to turn the results around,” he continued.
“I don't believe the players are tired. We give our best each game and I know every player works really hard.”
Leicester City’s next Premier League game is a home clash with Liverpool on Monday, February 27.
