Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has finally opened up about the death of his wife, Rebecca who died of Cancer in 2015.

Speaking publicly about his loss for the first time, the former England international admitted that he hasn't grieved properly since her death.
“I don't think I've grieved properly,” Ferdinand said in a new BBC documentary titled 'Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum And Dad', about how dealt with the loss and raising kids on his own.
“I've not given myself that time to sit down and really flush everything out and go through it.
“As footballers, we often talk about missing important games through injury as if it was the end of the world.
“Believe me, it isn't when compared to your wife and mother of your children dying of cancer at the age of 34.”
For the documentary which will explore the impact of death on parents and their children, Ferdinand allowed cameras to follow him around as he attempted to understand how widowed parents manage following the death of a spouse, and the best ways they can support their children through the ordeal.
