Manchester City have gone within eight points of Premier League leaders Chelsea thanks to last night’s 2-0 win at AFC Bournemouth.
The deserved result saw City return to second position but still manager Pep Guardiola believes Antonio Conte’s Blues are home and dried in the title race.
“The gap is still long so they have to lose the games, it’s almost so difficult to win all the games,” he told Sky Sports.
“The gap is too big.
“Yes, they will win, they play so solid it’s difficult to create chances.
“It is important to focus on our game, game by game, and improve our performance and my feeling in the last games our performance is much, much, much better.
“The only regret today is we create so many chances and could score more, but in general I’m so, so happy.”
Raheem Sterling opened the scoring with a side-footed finish on 29 minutes before an own-goal from Tyrone Mings with 20 minutes remaining wrapped it up at the Vitality Stadium.
