Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, has denied several reports that claim he banned the FRSC.
Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai has responded to numerous rumors concerning the ban of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kaduna state.
While receiving the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, at the Government House, the governor denied the claims that the safety agency had been banned from the state.
According to him, there is no truth to these reports, adding that the state government lacks the authority to make the call.
“I would like to put my personal apology for some of the reporting that emanated from the meeting of the State Security Council which were taken out of context o connote the banning of the FRSC from the state,” the Governor stated.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the FRSC's contributions, especially the collaboration with the Kaduna state Traffic Management Agency (KASTMA).
“Let me say it clearly that we value the additions that the FRSC make to the socio-economic development of the state and would work hard to sustain such collaboration.
We look forward to working with you and would continue to cooperate and collaborate with you in the areas of safety, security and effective traffic management in the state,” El-Rufai added.
Oyeyemi, who visited the government house as part of his partnership drive, responded by appreciating the governor for his support.
He also promised to attack overloading and other safety hazards in the state.
