Fake employers nabbed in Adamawa

Hindi Livinus, Yola

Two fraudsters issuing fake appointment letters to those seeking teaching appointments in public schools in Adamawa State have been arrested.

The Executive Secretary, Post Primary Schools Management Board, Alhaji Adamu Danjuma, said the suspects were apprehended with fake appointment letters and had since been handed over to the police for prosecution.

Danjuma in an interview stated that the board was not recruiting or replacing any worker and urged the general public to be wary of the activities of fraudsters.

He said the board was tracking one of the fraudsters who specialised in forging signatures of former and present executive secretaries of the board.

Sources at the Adamawa state Police Command Headquarters Yola confirmed the story, including a police prosecutor who said the suspects would be arraigned in court after investigation.
