An impersonator who celebrated a thanksgiving on a fake senior police officer's rank has been arrested in Benue.
A very dumb impersonator has been arrested by the police in Benue State after he held a thanksgiving in a church to celebrate his fake rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
The suspect, Misa Mohammed, according to Daily Trust, was said to have been parading himself as a senior police officer and using the rank and uniform to extort and harass unsuspecting members of the public before he was nabbed.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Moses Joel Yamu, who confirmed the arrest of the suspect, said his real name Misa Iorliam Francis and used the name Mohammed to perpetrate ghis crime.
Speaking to newsmen while he was being paraded at the command headquarters in Makurdi, the suspect said a certain police officer he identified as Uche Paul, had allegedly masterminded his recruitment into a police academy.
“The man (Paul) took me to the police station and assured me that he would recruit me. He later printed an acceptance letter which he gave me as the commencement of my training.
He recommended books which I bought and he urged me to read them as part of my training for the 4 years I stayed there.
I went back to my people who donated N130,000 which I gave to Paul. I have been collecting things such as money and food items from my people for him during the period.
And when he told me that I was going to pass out on February 3, 2017, I organised my people who went to thank him while I also did a thanksgiving in the church,” he said.

DSP Yamu added that the suspect would be charged to a court soon while a manhunt has been declared for the alleged mastermind of the crime.
