A jealous Ugandan doctor has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend after he saw photos of other men on her mobile phone.
A 29-year-old Ugandan, Dr. Brian Bagyenda, has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend after seeing photos of another man on her phones.
The Ugandan New Vision reports that Bagyenda, a medical doctor whose father is top army officer had murdered the 22-year-old undergraduate, Enid Twijukye, and with the help of two of his friends, Innocent Bainomugisha and Vincent Rwahwire, dumped her body in a bush on January 4, 2017.

Dr. Bagyenda who had been charged with murder, was said to have confessed to the murder of Twijukye because she was cheating on him with other men and he had the evidence after seeing the men on her phone.
The decomposing body of Twijukye who was supposed to graduate in February, was discovered in the bush after after she disappeared from her home in very unclear circumstances on January 4, 2016.
Dr. Bagyenda, whose father the Director of Internal Security Organisation in the country, Col. Frank Bagyenda, is expected to appear before the Nakawa Court according to Moses Eliau, the Jinja Road Divisional Police Commander.
However, the deceased girl’s mother, Esther Mirembe Nkoko, said that the suspect is no longer in custody and that the father is likely to use his influence to tamper with justice.
“We have been told that police officers are too scared to comment or even handle the matter because it involves their boss and we are getting worried that we may get a doctored postmortem report. I want justice for my daughter, Goodbye my love,” the mother of six mourned.

It was gathered that Dr. Bagyenda in his confession, said he got angry when he saw the photos in Twijukye's phone and strangled her before getting his friends to help him dispose of the body.
