Gyan is on loan at Dubai-based Arabian Gulf League side Al Ahli from Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.

The same rule applies in some surrounding Muslims countries like Saudi Arabia where their national team goalkeeper, Waleed Abdullah was forced to shave his hair during a game.
Abdullah who is a goalkeeper for Saudi Arabia’s national team was ordered to shave off his hair because it was an ‘anti-Islamic’ haircut.
In a video found on Youtube, the goalkeeper can be seen with surrounded by Saudi officials who insisted that his hair must be shaved before the game.
