In a bid to strengthen rice production in Nigeria, thousands of farmers who partnered with the state of Osun, have begun harvesting their rice.
The rice bears the label: "Ofada Osun Rice'.

During his meeting with the farmers at the Onilapa Rice Farm, Ogbaagba, the Governor reiterated government's efforts in ensuring adequate food production for self sustenance as a State.
Aregbesola stressed that it's time for Nigerians to feed themselves.
The governing APC at the center has pledged to diversify sources of federal government revenue by ramping up efforts in the Agriculture and Solid Minerals sectors.
The States of Kebbi and Lagos have also embarked on similar rice growing projects.
