A couple weeks ago Real Simple asked me how I thought Beyonce would decorate the nursery for her soon-to-be twins. It was fun to think about (even though I think she’s making her pregnancy a bit of a spectacle…) and since then I’ve wanted to flush out the idea I mentioned in the article. So I took the time to imagine a super high end, amazing nursery in gender neutral tones (since we don’t know they genders yet). Blues and greys and a soothing palette. Dreamy but modern. I wish I could make this actually come to life for Purple Rain and Pink Floyd (as we’ve dubbed the twins in our office.)

And then once I finished that board, I fell the need to see if I could create a similar look on a normal non-Beyonce budget. And I was able to! and I love this one too! It may be short on Hermes and original Ellsworth Kelley art, but it’s still awesome in it’s own right!

Oh boy, all this nursery talk is making want another baby.
