Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has already told his teammates that he will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
Rooney is undoubtedly one of the greatest ever United players but the 31-year-old currently is clearly not the fearsome striker he once was and as a result, his opportunities for regular first team football this season have been limited.
There are serious doubts as to whether Rooney will remain at United beyond the end of the current campaign and reports emerging out of England have claimed that the Red Devils’ all-time leading goalscorer has already told his teammates of his intention to leave Old Trafford upon the conclusion of the season.
A return to boyhood club Everton remains an option while teams in China and North America’s MLS are continuing to show interest.
